Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Memori (“Memori”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), including our website and app. Memori is currently operated as an independent project rather than through a registered company. By creating an account or using Memori, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if that is older, to create an account. Memori is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

2. Your Account

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you suspect unauthorized access. You can sign up with an email and password, or by continuing with Google.

3. Your Content

Everything you write, capture, or upload — journal text, titles, photos, videos, voice memos and their transcripts, and mood entries (“Your Content”) — remains yours. We claim no ownership over it.

You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display Your Content back to you solely to operate and improve the service — for example, rendering your calendar, generating the AI reflections and quotes described below, and providing the data export and account deletion tools in Settings. We do not sell Your Content, and we do not use it to train our own AI models.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use Memori for anything unlawful or to harm others;
  • Upload content you don't have the right to upload, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • Attempt to access another user's account or data, or interfere with the service's normal operation (including scraping, reverse engineering, or overloading our infrastructure);
  • Use the service to generate or store unlawful content, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the appropriate authorities wherever legally required.

5. AI-Generated Content

Some features — voice memo transcription, periodic AI-written reflections, and the quote shown when you finish a day's entry — are generated using third-party AI models processing text you've written. AI output can be inaccurate, can misattribute a quote, or can occasionally misread the tone of an entry. Review anything AI-generated before relying on it. See our Disclaimer for more on this.

6. Features In Development

We sometimes show previews of features we're considering (marked “Coming soon”) to gauge interest before building them. These are not commitments — a previewed feature may change, take longer than expected, or never ship. Submitting your email for early access doesn't create any obligation on our part beyond, at most, notifying you if and when it launches.

7. Pricing

Memori is currently free to use, in full. We are not currently charging for any feature and this version of the Terms includes no billing terms. If that changes in the future, we'll update these Terms, give you advance notice, and nothing you've already created will be held back from you or deleted for declining to pay.

8. Third-Party Services

Memori relies on third-party infrastructure to operate, including authentication and data storage, AI processing, error monitoring, and product analytics. Details of what each one does and what data it sees are in our Privacy Policy. Your use of Memori is also subject to those providers' own terms where applicable.

9. Intellectual Property

The Memori name, logo, and the app's design and code (excluding Your Content and any open-source components we use) belong to us. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute them without permission.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this permanently deletes your entries and media and cannot be undone. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, or that we reasonably believe pose a risk to the service or other users.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

Memori is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data loss can never occur — please use the export tool in Settings periodically if you want an independent copy of Your Content.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Memori and its operators won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you've paid us in the past 12 months — which, while Memori remains free, is zero.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. We'll update the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you (e.g. by email or an in-app notice). Continuing to use Memori after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
